A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post ‘Marketing Techniques for every budget’ following on from that post I wanted to share some ideas on what to do and where to share your post if you want to market your business, when you don’t have a large budget.
Social Media- Pick 2 or 3 platforms and be consistent when posting. Don’t share your post once, share it 2 or 3 times a day to increase your reach. You haven’t spent hours writing a blog post for nobody to view it. Right?
Share your older posts on your social media platforms too. Create links on the page to encourage readers to click through and continue reading your website and additional pages.
Email Marketing- Create a sign-up page on your website where your audience can enter their email to receive your online newsletter. Be consistent, create a newsletter I tend to favour Mail Chimp but there are lots of others out there. Send your newsletter weekly, fortnightly or monthly (pick one and stick to it!). Your growing audience will know when to expect it if you are consistent. Add your new blog posts or website page(s) to the email newsletter and watch your audience grow slowly over time.
Twitter has lots of local networking hours throughout the UK. Keep a note of the ones that are most relevant and get tweeting about your business during that hour. Don’t forget to retweet (sharing it caring and will encourage others to retweet your tweets too). Twitter is a great way to get your name out there and find out about all the other businesses you can work with. Market, network and share your content whilst growing your network and creating new leads and gaining new customers.
LinkedIn Groups is a great space to find your target audience, share your posts on the groups daily or weekly.
You Tube- Are you thinking of joining the masses in 2018 with video blogging? Upload your Vlog to You Tube and Vimeo.
Lastly, if you have a small budget you could always branch into the world of pay per click (PPC) Facebook has the added benefit of boosting your posts and Google AdWords is fantastic for learning more about your audience. Select your goal, budget and pay only when someone clicks on your website or calls you directly.
