Like many, I read hundreds of posts a week and these are just a handful of useful questions and answers I have come across that I thought I would share with you.

How can I use social media as a tool for customer service?

Social media can be used as a great tool for communicating directly with your customers. You can answer questions, thank customers for good reviews of your brand and products, or even defend your business at the brink of bad press. Social media is a good gage of overall company strength.

Do you have an example of a successful strategy on Facebook?

Don’t restrict your business to one platform, use other social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+. How many profiles can you successfully maintain and manage?

How many followers should I aim to have on Twitter?

It doesn’t really matter how many followers you have on Twitter or any social profile. As long as your audience is engaged and communicating with you (likes, retweets and comments) then you are successful and effective on social media.

How can I handle a social media crisis?

Apologise reflecting honesty and respond quickly, the longer it takes you to respond the bigger the crisis appears to be. Explain how you will overcome and rectify the crisis.
